Hear what you say in your sleep.
YapNap is a sleep talk recorder for iPhone. It listens through the night and keeps only the moments you talk, mumble, snore or make a sound. Your morning takes a minute, not eight hours, and all of it stays on your iPhone.
For iPhone, iOS 16.4 or later
Last night, in 19 seconds
The quiet hours are never saved. Only the moments you make a sound are kept, and they stay on your iPhone: no account, no upload.
How a night goes
22:45
Tap start and put the phone down.
A start delay (15 minutes unless you change it) keeps the sound of you falling asleep out of the recording. Pick low, medium or high sensitivity for a quiet or noisy room.
23:00–07:00
It listens with the screen locked.
Only sounds louder than your sensitivity are saved, plus the two seconds before them, so the first word isn’t cut off. Everything else is never stored.
07:00
It stops on its own.
Sessions end after 6, 8 or 10 hours, so a forgotten tap doesn’t record your whole morning.
07:30
Hear the whole night in under a minute.
Each night is a short list of clips with waveforms. Play them, scrub them, star the good ones. Old nights clear themselves after 7, 30 or 90 days; starred clips stay.
